Matthias Kügele graduated from the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (ETHL) in 2003 in the electrochemical field. He immediately started to work for a large IP firm in Geneva as a patent attorney in the electrochemical field and then spent a few years in their Paris Office working on mechanical and electronical patent cases. He has therefore acquired extensive knowledge and experience in technical fields including for example industrial and environmental engineering, mechanics and electronics, electrochemistry (batteries, electric and hybrid vehicles), physical chemistry (lasers, biosensors) and cryptography. He passed the European Qualifying Examination in 2010, became a Swiss patent Attorney in 2011 and passed the French Qualifying Examination in 2013. Thus, as a European, French and Swiss patent attorney specialized in patent prosecution, patent litigation, patent portfolio management and valorization as well as filing strategy, Matthias Kügele joined Katzarov in 2016. He is a member of AIPPI, is fluent in English, French, German and Italian.
