Upon completion of his PhD, Antoine started his career in IP in 2013 as in-house patent attorney in a medical device company in Lausanne. The IP portfolio of the company comprised both mechanical and chemical cases to protect the various aspects of the medical devices. In this regard, he has acquired extensive knowledge in microfluidics, microparticles/wafer preparation and functionalization, biomolecules extraction/sample preparation/detection.
Later on, Antoine joined an IP law firm in Neuchatel in 2015 where he provided assistance in IP related matters to individual clients, start-up companies and well established SMEs. Antoine was in charge of mechanical cases related to watchmaking (movement and external parts), mechanic component/assembly (mechanical/electromechanical actuators, pumps, bearing, robots), medical devices cases (cardiac valve, optical lens, prosthesis, cell culture device), material cases (composite, natural based fiber material), and software/AI based invention (method/program for identification of biomarkers, prediction of disease).
Antoine is qualified as European patent attorney since 2018. He joined Katzarov in 2019 to strengthen the mechanics/software department.
Since 2019, Antoine is also a teacher/tutor for the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) training course in Switzerland and teaches European Patent Law according to the European Patent Convention.
