Holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property law specialized in Information and Communication Technology law, from the University of Poitiers (France). Trained on French, European, and International law and proceedings, she started to work as a trainee in a large French IP firm. She then joined WIPO, first in the designs department and after that in the trademarks unit. Julie Mondon now specializes in Swiss law and proceedings in the fields of trademark and design law. She represents clients before the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property as well as before the World Intellectual Property Organization and handles diverse aspects of IP rights prosecution and enforcement, as well as filing strategy. She also deals with domain name protection issues, including UDRP proceedings. Of French mother tongue, she is also fluent in English and has a proficient knowledge of Spanish.
